After securing qualification against Norway (2-1, a.e.t.) in the quarter-finals of this 2026 World Cup, Jude Bellingham had a frank exchange with his coach Thomas Tuchel.

The German tactician had criticized the Three Lions' performance. While Harry Kane tried to ease tensions, he didn’t hold back in criticizing the media treatment of the incident.

"When you play a match like that, and you’re asked a question just two or five minutes after the final whistle, when he doesn’t really know what the coach said, what do you expect Jude to answer? We had just come out of a battle, it was really tough out there. It’s easy to try to create division. It feels like a typically English mentality, even an English tradition during a big tournament. But that’s not the reality. If the team is where it is today, it’s because of our unity," said the Bayern Munich striker to the BBC.
