England: Wayne Rooney criticizes Thomas Tuchel

To say the least, England is struggling to digest the management of Three Lions coach Thomas Tuchel after the English opened the scoring against Argentina (1-2) in the semi-final of this 2026 World Cup.

Former Three Lions captain and now BBC pundit, Wayne Rooney, singled out Tuchel as the main culprit for this bitter disappointment.

"We put ourselves in such a favorable position that we didn’t know what to do next. We let them dictate the game, allowed them to take control. They put us under pressure and we cracked. As soon as they scored the first goal, the second was inevitable. When you’re dominating, you have to keep pushing. We went 1-0 up and then sat back. We made changes, switched to a five or six-man defense. If you let Messi and Argentina seize the initiative, you’re heading for disaster. The changes we made didn’t help us. We’re devastated... He brought this trouble on himself," explained the former Manchester United striker.
