Enticing offer on the horizon: Mbemba ready to turn the Marseille page!
Congolese international defender Chancel Mbemba, 30, is preparing to close the chapter on his Olympique de Marseille adventure at the end of his contract, which expires on June 30.
Having previously played for renowned clubs such as Anderlecht (Belgium), Newcastle (England), and FC Porto (Portugal), Mbemba hasn't featured in a single match this season for the Marseille side due to a prolonged conflict with the club's management.
Despite this difficult club situation, the "Leopards" captain remains a cornerstone of the Congolese national team. He has started 11 out of the 12 matches played by his country this season, always in the starting lineup.
Paris FC in the running
According to information reported by the French outlet "Foot Mercato", Paris FC is closely monitoring Chancel Mbemba's situation.
Recently promoted to Ligue 1, the Parisian club is eager to bolster its defensive line and is considering making a substantial financial offer to secure the services of the rock-solid center-back.
For the record, Mbemba has earned 85 caps and scored 6 goals for the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is renowned for his defensive discipline, natural leadership, and top-level experience, making him one of the finest African defenders of his generation.
