EST transfer: Two African heavyweights in pursuit of Mokwana

The future of Elias Mokwana at Espérance Sportive de Tunis is becoming increasingly uncertain. The 26-year-old South African winger has attracted interest from several African clubs as the summer transfer window approaches, with his departure now looking more and more likely.

JS Kabylie and Kaizer Chiefs make their move for Mokwana

According to the Tunisian daily “Echourouk”, Kaizer Chiefs have joined the list of clubs looking to sign the South African international, who is reportedly no longer a priority for Espérance's new coaching staff.

Last season, Mokwana played for Al-Hazem in Saudi Arabia on loan.

During his stint with the Saudi club, he featured in 26 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing three assists, before returning to Espérance at the end of his loan spell.

Still according to Echourouk, the Bab Souika club management would not be opposed to a transfer, provided they receive an offer that meets their financial expectations during this summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, South African journalist Mickey Jnr reports that JS Kabylie have also entered the race by submitting an official offer to Espérance's management.
