Orlando Pirates - Kaizer Chiefs: which channel and what time can you watch the match?
The Soweto derby promises another clash between two teams unbeaten in the league. Here are the announced broadcasters and kick-off times for following the fixture.
Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium is sold out for the reunion between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, 31 October 2026. Beyond the local rivalry, this Betway Premiership encounter could have a bearing on the title race: second-placed Pirates, with 22 points, face fifth-placed Chiefs, who have 14 points, after eight matches each.
Two teams full of confidence after the cup
The Buccaneers are on a run of four wins in all competitions without conceding a goal. Their 3-0 victory over Milford in the Carling Knockout on Tuesday was notably inspired by a brace from Tshepang Moremi. They had also just secured their place in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Chiefs also won 3-0 on Tuesday, against TS Galaxy, thanks to a hat-trick from Wandile Duba. It was a response after their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup. In the league, the two rivals remain unbeaten: seven wins and one draw for the Pirates, and three wins and five draws for Amakhosi.
Ouaddou cautious, Sibisi targeting three points
On Thursday, Abdeslam Ouaddou accepted the status of favourites while reminding everyone, according to The Citizen: “Being favourites does not mean that you are going to win.” The coach highlighted the energy and new ideas brought by the opposing staff.
Captain Nkosinathi Sibisi made his ambition clear: “We are going there for the three points,” he said in comments reported on Thursday by Insight News Network. For the Chiefs, Fernando Da Cruz praised Duba while calling for greater consistency: “I think he simply needs to improve his consistency,” IOL reports.
