This Friday, two days before hosting Toulouse on matchday 9 of Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille continued preparations with several updates concerning its squad. The squad for the match has been announced.

According to BFM Marseille, Amine Gouiri was absent from collective training on Friday morning. Faris Moumbagna, meanwhile, returned to the first-team squad. Youngsters Tadjidine Mmadi and Antoine Valero were also present at the session led by Bruno Genesio.

Algerian striker Amine Gouiri was indeed absent from training on the day, and we now know why. On Sunday, the Algeria international will be available to face Toulouse in Ligue 1. The former Lyon player was given a rest for personal reasons.

"Amine Gouiri was absent for personal reasons, so I decided to give him a rest this Friday. Will he be ready for the match? Yes," Marseille coach Bruno Genesio explained at a press conference.
