Let’s look back at the exceptional career of a man who netted 22 goals in 48 caps for DR Congo.

  • The Kinshasa native made his professional debut with TP Mazembe, the flagship club of Lubumbashi. He joined the Ravens in 2025 from Bel'Or Kinshasa.
  • He enjoyed a loan spell at Anderlecht, scoring four goals in nine matches and helping the Mauves clinch the Jupiler Pro League title in the 2006-2007 season.
  • It was with Standard Liège, between 2007 and 2010, that he truly reached another level. He established himself as one of the club’s top strikers with 50 goals in 120 games, playing a major role in their 2008 and 2009 championship triumphs.
  • He then returned to Anderlecht after difficult spells at Monaco and Wolfsburg, winning two more league titles and claiming the Golden Boot in 2012.
  • The next chapter of his career saw him play in Ukraine with Dynamo Kyiv, in England with Norwich City and Hull City, in Belgium with Antwerp and Beveren, and most recently at FC Noah in Armenia.
  • Dieumerci Mbokani left a lasting mark on Congolese football, as well as on Belgian football, with 122 goals in the Jupiler Pro League and 16 in the Challenger Pro League.
