Friendly: The Algerian women clinch victory against DR Congo
Algeria 1-0 RD Congo

The Algeria women's national team secured a 1-0 win over DR Congo on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida, courtesy of a goal from Lina Boussaha at the half-hour mark.

This friendly fixture is part of a series of tests aimed at fine-tuning team chemistry and boosting confidence for both squads ahead of the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for July 5 to 26, 2025 in Morocco. Under the guidance of Farid Benstiti, the Greens took control of the match against a resilient Congolese side. The decisive moment came in the 30th minute, when Al-Nassr midfielder Lina Boussaha capitalized on a long ball and beat the opposing keeper with a precise cross-shot.

The Algerian players will be back in action on Tuesday for another clash against Senegal, once again in Blida, in their final rehearsal before the continental showdown. As for the DR Congo Leopards Ladies, their focus now shifts to the tournament, where they are drawn into Group A alongside Senegal, Morocco, and Zambia.
