Is Semi Ajayi's time at West Bromwich coming to an end?
Is Semi Ajayi

Semi Ajayi, the Nigerian defender for West Bromwich Albion, could be leaving the club this summer. His contract expires in June 2025, with no extension talks underway, casting doubt on his future at the club.

Having joined West Bromwich Albion in July 2019, Semi Ajayi has endured six intense seasons with the Baggies. Solid at the back, the 31-year-old defender has experienced promotion to the Premier League, relegation, and the battles of the Championship. Yet, as the summer of 2025 approaches, it seems the chapter is about to close. His contract, running until June 30, has seen no renewal offers.

It's worth noting that Semi Ajayi has had a challenging season, marred by recurring muscle injuries. He has only played 14 out of 44 league matches, a significant drop for a player accustomed to regular starts. This situation likely doesn't encourage the Baggies to extend their collaboration. Besides the Nigerian, other departures also seem imminent, including those of Grady Diangana and John Swift.
