Ismaël Guerti goes pro with FC Metz

It's official. Ismaël Guerti has signed his first professional contract with FC Metz. The 19-year-old Moroccan attacking midfielder has committed to the club from Lorraine until June 2027.

Developed at Metz, Ismaël Guerti impressed with his performances for the reserve team. Now, he'll be continuing his journey with the senior squad. On the club's official website, the player didn't hide his emotions:

I'm truly very proud and honored to sign as a professional with FC Metz for the next two seasons. I want to thank Frédéric Arpinon for the trust he has shown in me, as well as my family, who have always supported me.

Guerti remains clear-headed, though: this is just the beginning:

It's a beautiful dream come true and a huge satisfaction, but it's only the first step.
