Jhon Duran on his way to Fenerbahçe
After spending just six months in Saudi Arabia, Jhon Duran is already preparing to pack his bags. The 21-year-old Colombian striker, who joined Al-Nassr last January for €64.5 million, is set to move to Fenerbahçe on loan for the upcoming season.
A former Aston Villa player—where he scored 20 goals in 18 months—Duran continued his impressive form in Riyadh with 12 goals in 18 appearances. His loan to the Turkish club would reportedly include a significant salary increase, potentially making him one of the best-paid young strikers in Europe. Still under contract with Al-Nassr until 2029, Duran is currently earning over €335,000 per week, compared to €75,000 at Aston Villa. In just 21 weeks in Saudi Arabia, his earnings are believed to have already surpassed €7 million.
At Fenerbahçe, who finished second in the Süper Lig for the fourth consecutive season, Jhon Duran will bolster an attack now under the guidance of José Mourinho. The Istanbul club, which netted 128 goals in 56 matches last season, already relies on Youssef En-Nesyri, who has scored 30 goals since arriving from Sevilla.
