Joël Ngandu Kayamba returns to Kazakhstan

FC Atyrau announced on Tuesday the return of Joël Ngandu Kayamba. The Congolese midfielder, who had a brief stint at the club last season, is back in the Kazakhstan Premier League after a spell in Libya with Abu Salim SC.

Born in Kinshasa, Joël Ngandu Kayamba boasts a packed footballing journey. Trained in his homeland, he quickly made his way to Europe, landing in the Czech Republic. There, he successively wore the jerseys of Hlinsko, Příbram, Opava, and most notably Viktoria Plzeň, with whom he featured in the Europa League. His performances opened the doors to Turkey, where he played for Samsunspor and then Boluspor.

A versatile and experienced midfielder, Joël Ngandu Kayamba brings a technical and mobile presence to FC Atyrau. His familiarity with the league, coupled with his international experience with DR Congo, are major assets for a struggling side. Currently sitting 14th in the table after 13 rounds with just four points, FC Atyrau hopes this new signing will help put an end to their negative run.
