While dreaming of donning the colors of Olympique de Marseille, George Weah’s son, Timothy Weah, sees his transfer becoming increasingly complicated.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, an agreement had been reached for a loan with a mandatory purchase option of €15 million, along with a contract until 2030 and an annual salary of €2.5 million. But despite these solid foundations and the player’s clear desire to join OM, Juventus is putting the brakes on the deal.

The player’s agent, Badou Sambague, didn’t mince his words, clearly aiming his criticism at a member of the Turin club’s management:

The sporting department is run by three people. Two have class, and the other is still searching for it. We can’t blame him for that. Two are looking for solutions, and one creates problems. And that, we can’t let slide. This person botched his World Cup, tried to force him to go where he wanted. Today, out of spite, he’s asking for a fortune and waiting for a Premier League offer that won’t come and will never be approved by us.

Meanwhile, Weah, sidelined for several weeks, is struggling with the situation. He reportedly feels a lack of respect from his current club. Marseille, for its part, continues to push to finalize the move. The American international’s profile appeals to Roberto De Zerbi, but the green light from Juventus is still pending.
