The Egyptian press has revealed the details of the offer made by Konyaspor to sign Emam Ashour during the summer transfer window. However, Al Ahly quickly turned down the proposal, reaffirming their determination to keep hold of their midfielder.

Details of Konyaspor's offer… Al Ahly's unequivocal response

According to Egyptian outlet FilGoal, the Turkish club tabled a $3 million bid for the Egyptian international. The offer was deemed far too low by Al Ahly's management, who believe it does not reflect either the player's market value or his importance to the squad.

This is not the first rejection from the Cairo-based club. Just a few weeks earlier, Al Ahly had already turned down a $6 million offer from Al Ittihad, which also included a highly attractive annual salary for the player. This decision underlines the club's determination to keep one of its key assets.

Since arriving at Al Ahly in the summer of 2023 from Midtjylland, Emam Ashour has quickly established himself as a vital figure. To date, he has racked up 247 appearances, 53 goals, and 37 assists in the colors of the Egyptian Red Devils.

The 28-year-old midfielder also made his mark with the Egyptian national team at the 2026 World Cup, scoring his first two international goals against Belgium and Australia.
