Linafoot: DCMP clinches its spot in the play-offs!

Daring Club Motema Pembe achieved a remarkable feat this weekend at Stade Joseph Kabila in Kindu, defeating Maniema Union (1-2) in the final day of the regular season of the Linafoot.

Thanks to this hard-fought victory, the "Tupamaros" secure their ticket to the play-offs of the prestigious Congolese championship.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Osée Ndombele, who delivered a clean strike from the edge of the box.

However, the Immaculés quickly responded: Bingi equalized in the 32nd minute, reigniting the hopes of the Kinshasa club.

DCMP in suspense until the end!

In the second half, DCMP ramped up the attacks and eventually earned a decisive penalty after a foul in the box.

Obassi took the penalty in the 87th minute and kept his cool against Mubaelua Nathan, securing victory for his team.

Despite late match pressure, the visitors held firm. This victory allows DCMP to finish 6th in Group B with 28 points, securing qualification. Maniema Union, despite the home defeat, retains the top spot with 44 points.
