Egypt faces off against Senegal in a high-voltage semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, currently underway in Morocco and running through January 18.

The Pharaohs will take the field this Wednesday at 17:00 GMT, at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.

Both teams remain unbeaten since the start of the tournament, having delivered impressive campaigns to reach the last four.

Under the guidance of head coach Hossam Hassan, the Egyptians topped Group B with 7 points, following wins over Zimbabwe (2-1) and South Africa (1-0), and a draw against Angola (0-0). They then knocked out Benin (3-1) in the round of 16 before edging past Côte d’Ivoire (3-2) in the quarter-finals.

On the other side, Senegal, led by Pape Thiaw, also secured 7 points in Group D, after victories over Botswana and Benin and a draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Lions of Teranga then overpowered Sudan (3-1) in the round of 16, before sealing a narrow win over Mali (1-0) in the quarters.
