Liverpool drops Aït-Nouri pursuit: Slot prefers Kerkez!

British sources have revealed that Liverpool’s management has decided not to pursue Algerian international Rayan Aït-Nouri in the upcoming summer transfer window.
For several months, persistent rumors had linked the Reds with the Wolverhampton left-back, reportedly at the request of new head coach Arne Slot.
Kerkez overtakes Aït-Nouri in Slot's priorities
But according to a recent report from the “Telegraph,” Aït-Nouri is no longer at the top of Liverpool’s shortlist to strengthen the left flank. Arne Slot is now prioritizing the recruitment of Hungarian Milos Kerkez, the 21-year-old Bournemouth left-back, valued at around €35 million.
Aït-Nouri, meanwhile, has enjoyed a remarkable season with Wolverhampton. In 38 appearances across all competitions, he scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists—an impressive return for a defender.
According to Opta data, he is currently the most decisive defender in the Premier League in terms of offensive contributions.
It’s also worth noting that Rayan Aït-Nouri’s contract with Wolverhampton runs until June 2026. His market value is estimated at around £35 million according to Transfermarkt.
