The 2025 Africa U17 Cup of Nations showcased two outstanding talents: Loukman Tapsoba from Burkina Faso and Alynho Haidara from Côte d’Ivoire. Each netted 7 goals, making them the kings of the competition's top scorers list.
Tapsoba, Burkina Faso's ultimate weapon
Burkina Faso's Loukman Tapsoba scored 7 goals during the tournament, including a brace against Cameroon (2-1) in the group stage and a hat-trick against Zambia (6-1) in the quarter-finals. His team, although defeated in the semi-final by Mali, secured qualification for the U17 World Cup in Qatar.
Alynho Haidara crowned Golden Boot of the 2025 U17 AFCON
Alynho Haidara shone with equal brilliance. The 16-year-old Ivorian striker scored four goals against the Central African Republic (6-1) on the first day of the tournament. He followed up with a double against Mali (4-2) on the third day of the group stage, before taking his tally to 7 goals in the third-place match against Burkina Faso (2-0). Haidara clinched the Golden Boot of the competition.
