It's official. Anthony Da Silva has been formally appointed as head coach of the Mali national team.

In an official statement released on June 8, the Malian Football Federation announced that Anthony Da Silva has signed a three-year deal to take the helm of the Mali Eagles. The 45-year-old coach replaces Tom Saintfiet, who was relieved of his duties in early April by the new president of the federation, Mahazo, known as Baba Cissé.

The Malian federation has outlined the priorities for the French-Portuguese coach. The immediate target is the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, aiming to reach the semifinals, then to push for a spot in the final at the next edition, and ultimately secure qualification for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
