The new 2026-2027 season of the Malian Ligue 1 is getting off to a promising start. The FEMAFOOT executive committee has announced an increase in grants for top-flight clubs. The decision was made on October 13, 2026, in Bamako.

Grant rises from 25 to 40 million CFA francs

The 53rd ordinary general assembly of the Malian Football Federation, held on October 13, 2026, approved an increase in the financial allocation per club. The amount rises from 25 million to 40 million CFA francs per club. The increase represents an additional 15 million, or a 60% rise.

Support for professionalization

These additional resources should help teams cover their operating expenses, sporting preparation and competition organization. The measure supports the drive to professionalize the top-flight championship. The regional leagues will also receive an allocation of 20 million CFA francs per season.
