Malik Talabidi changes club in Germany
It's official: Malik Talabidi will continue his career at FC Carl Zeiss Jena. The Togolese-born central defender has signed a two-year contract with the Thuringia-based club, keeping him there until June 2027.
Developed at Rot-Weiß Erfurt and RB Leipzig, Malik Talabidi already has experience in Switzerland with FC Wil and in Germany with Schalke 04's reserve team, where he made 52 appearances in the Regionalliga. The 23-year-old also made his 2. Bundesliga debut last April against SSV Ulm.
Jena's head coach, Volkan Uluc, expressed his excitement:
Malik brings the defensive intensity and discipline we expect. Plus, he's from the region, which strengthens his bond with the club.
