Mercato: Bamo Méité set to join Lorient on loan
Bamo Méité

Ivorian defender Bamo Méité is set to sign with Lorient in the coming hours.

Bamo Méité never truly managed to establish himself over two years at OM, despite a promising first season in the Phocean city. Loaned out to Montpellier at the tail end of the winter transfer window, he struggled alongside the Hérault club and couldn't quite get his career back on track.

Now, as the transfer window draws to a close, the Ivorian will try to relaunch his career at Lorient, his former club. According to Foot Mercato, Lorient will bring him back on loan. Newly promoted to Ligue 1, the Breton club suffered a heavy defeat at Le Moustoir against LOSC this Saturday (1-7) and will be counting on Bamo Méité at his best to restore some much-needed defensive solidity.
