Mercato: Lille outmaneuvers OM in the Hamza Igamane pursuit
Hamza Igamane

The race for Hamza Igamane is heating up between Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique de Marseille, but Lille has taken the lead over OM.

It now seems highly likely that Olivier Létang will beat Mehdi Benatia to the signing of Moroccan forward Hamza Igamane. This trend has been confirmed by RMC. Indeed, Olympique de Marseille is interested in the striker, who can also play on both wings. However, Lille has emerged as a major contender in the race and is now pulling ahead.

According to Sacha Tavolieri's revelations on X, Hamza Igamane has already reached an agreement with last season's Ligue 1 fifth-place finisher for a summer transfer. Talks are close to completion, with the Belgian journalist indicating on his social media that sealing the deal is now just a matter of time.

Valued at €7 million by Transfermarkt, the Moroccan international is expected to be transferred for just over double that amount—around €15 million, according to Foot Mercato.
