Mercato: Rodez rejects Standard Liège bid for Timothé Nkada

Ligue 2 side Rodez has issued a firm "no" to Standard Liège. The Belgian club is eager to secure the services of Cameroonian striker Timothé Nkada.

Recently, Rodez turned down a Belgian offer for their French-Cameroonian forward Timothé Nkada. As things stand, the young Rodez striker does not look set to join Standard Liège.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Rodez rejected a €1.5 million bid for the Cameroonian. After an outstanding Ligue 2 campaign—netting 17 goals and providing 5 assists in 31 matches—Nkada seems to fit the profile Standard is seeking.

The Belgian side will need to return in the coming weeks with a more substantial offer, likely closer to the €3 million valuation placed on the player.
