The Belgian FA's intensified efforts to convince Moroccan talent Youssef Hamdaoui, Royal Antwerp’s teenage striker, to represent the "Red Devils" But the 17 year old remains firm in his commitment to Morocco.

Belgium’s Pursuit

According to Moroccan reports, Belgian officials recently reapproached Hamdaoui’s entourage presenting him with detailed sporting project. The plan aimed to lure him away from the "Atlas Lions" toward Belgium’s national setup.

Hamdaoui’s Clear Choice

Despite the tempting proposal, Hamdaoui reaffirmed his ambition to represent Morocco at senior level. His stance effectively closes the door on Belgium’s hopes of securing his services.

Morocco’s Success in Talent Recovery

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation'd already secured Hamdaoui’s switch of sporting nationality. Previously capped at Belgium U17 level, the youngster's now fully eligible for the Atlas Lions.

This adds to Morocco’s growing list of dual national recruits including talents like Chemsdine Talbi & Zakaria El Ouahdi.

Future Outlook

Hamdaoui's tied to Antwerp until 2027 with the club pushing for extension. His rapid rise's also attracted interest from several major European clubs monitoring his progress.
