Moustafa Ashraf leaves Germany

It's official: Moustafa Ashraf is on the move. The 21-year-old Egyptian midfielder has signed with Vitesse Arnhem, who play in the Dutch second division.

Now a free agent after the end of his contract in Germany, Moustafa Ashraf has penned a two-year deal with Vitesse, running until 2027, with an option for an extra season. It's a new chapter for the player who spent more than a decade at Borussia Mönchengladbach but never quite broke through to the first team.

This move signals a fresh start for the Egypt U20 international, who is hoping to finally kickstart his career in an environment known for nurturing young talent. Recently relegated to the Eerste Divisie, Vitesse are counting on his energy and technical skills to help them bounce straight back to the top flight.
