Nicolas Fontaine close to joining a Bulgarian club
Madagascar international Nicolas Fontaine is on the verge of discovering a new league.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the 25-year-old left winger is set to sign with Septemvri Sofia, a club competing in Bulgaria's top flight. Having previously played for KSC Lokeren, Fontaine is expected to put pen to paper on a three-year deal, a clear sign of the confidence his future club has in him.
The transfer is already well underway, with Fontaine having successfully completed his medical. The Bulgarian club will pay around €90,000, bonuses included, to seal the deal. On their side, Lokeren have negotiated a 15% sell-on clause, ensuring a financial return should Fontaine be transferred again in the future.
