Nottingham Forest: Ibrahim Sangaré extends until 2029

Good news for Nottingham Forest fans. Ibrahim Sangaré has extended his contract. The Ivorian midfielder is now tied to the Premier League club until the summer of 2029.

The Reds announced the signing on their website this July 28. Ibrahim Sangaré stays for three more years, through to 2029. Back in training in the Algarve after an extended break following the 2026 World Cup with the Elephants, the former PSV man put pen to paper on his new deal surrounded by his teammates.

A key player who has become indispensable

Arriving in 2023 from PSV Eindhoven, Sangaré quickly established himself. Last season, he played 43 matches in all competitions, scored 2 goals, and provided 3 assists. An Africa Cup of Nations champion in 2023 with Ivory Coast, he was also a starter at the 2026 World Cup, shining with a fine assist in the 2-0 win over Curaçao.

"Forest has become like a family"

Deeply attached to the club, the 28-year-old didn’t hide his joy. “I’ve been at Forest for three years now, and it’s become like a family to me. I feel good and I’m happy to be here. As I said, it feels like being part of a family and I feel better than ever here.”
