Official: Ibrahima Ba signs with Sporting Lisbon until 2031

The Portuguese club also accepted a 15% sell-on clause for any future transfer. A transfer to Strasbourg was expected and Ba even traveled to France to finalize the move. An agreement worth €20 million was reached with Famalicão. But the deal collapsed at the last minute. The Alsatian club reported that the defender failed his medical. However, his agent strongly denied this and accused Strasbourg of attempting to renegotiate and lower the transfer fee.
