Real Madrid: Éder Militão’s home burgled
Last Sunday, while Real Madrid were facing FC Barcelona in El Clásico, Éder Militão was the victim of a burglary at his home.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, at least two individuals allegedly broke into Éder Militão’s residence that day. It is located in the La Moraleja residential district of Madrid, and the burglary took place between 9 and 10 p.m.
The burglars allegedly took advantage of the match to enter an upstairs bedroom and steal watches, jewellery and luxury accessories worth more than €350,000. The stolen items reportedly included a Rolex estimated at €53,000, a Richard Mille valued at nearly €170,000, three Chanel bags estimated at €15,000, as well as several Cartier rings and bracelets. Several members of the player’s family were on the ground floor, watching the clash between the two Spanish giants.
Éder Militão calls in a specialist
It should be noted that Éder Militão’s relatives allegedly noticed absolutely nothing during the break-in that Sunday. The property’s alarm was not activated, and the occupants reportedly detected no suspicious movement. It was only after the police arrived, accompanied by the residence’s private security officers, that the extent of the theft was discovered.
In the Brazilian’s bedroom, the police reportedly found several belongings scattered around, showing that the burglars had been there. Having remained on the bench during El Clásico, Éder Militão has since reportedly called in a specialist to try to recover his belongings, some of which are said to have significant sentimental value.
