Bayern Munich have made their decision. The German club does not want to take any risks with the health of their coach, Vincent Kompany.

Now forced to remain at home to recover from meningitis, Vincent Kompany has been given particularly strict instructions by the club’s management. He has been completely banned from talking about football, even with his own assistants.

Completely weakened by the illness, having notably suffered several bouts of illness while carrying out his duties, the Belgian coach must observe a period of complete rest.

Aaron Danks confirms the ban

At a press conference on Friday ahead of the Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund, interim replacement Aaron Danks confirmed the decision. “No, absolutely not. We are taking the situation very seriously. I have received clear instructions from Max Eberl and Christoph Freund: not to engage in such discussions and to ensure that Vince focuses solely on his health and spends time with his family,” the Englishman said when asked about possible tactical discussions with Kompany before the Klassiker.

“We want him to rest and recover properly so that when he returns, he is in top form and able to help us as much as possible. We are being very strict and completely excluding football from this situation,” Aaron Danks insisted.
