Bayern: a date announced for Vincent Kompany’s return
Good news emerged for Vincent Kompany this Thursday.
Days after falling ill at training last Friday, the Bayern Munich coach was discharged from hospital on Wednesday. Vincent Kompany was allowed to return home to recover from meningitis.
“Recovery means rest and medication. So I am absolutely certain that he will be back on the pitch at 100% very soon,” Max Eberl said on Wednesday on the sidelines of the German Cup match that Bayern won comfortably against Magdeburg (6-1).
Kompany to return on November 20
According to information published by Bild, Vincent Kompany’s recovery will continue for several more weeks. The Belgian will not return before the international break and will miss the final three matches before the national teams’ fixtures: against Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, October 31), Atlético de Madrid in the Champions League (November 3), and the trip to Mainz (November 7).
Kompany could return on Friday, November 20, for the Bundesliga home match against Cologne.
