Al-Nassr: Cristiano Ronaldo scores a hat-trick and closes in on 1,000 goals
The day after being crowned B.O.A.T. (Best of All Time), Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in Al-Nassr’s 5-2 victory over Al-Kholood on Thursday, October 29, 2026. At 41, the Portuguese forward has taken his career tally to 985 goals, just 15 short of the 1,000-goal mark.
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to rack up accolades and goals. Crowned the day before with the honorary B.O.A.T. title, which recognizes the best season among those of players who have won the Ballon d’Or multiple times, the Portuguese captain responded on the pitch with another attacking showcase.
Against Al-Kholood in the Saudi league, the Al-Nassr forward scored three of his team’s five goals in a match they won 5-2. The hat-trick took his personal career tally to 985 goals, according to the count released after the match.
A hat-trick with his left foot, right foot and head
Ronaldo’s performance stood out for the variety of his finishes. The Portuguese scored with his left foot, right foot and head, showcasing his ability to finish in different attacking situations.
According to statistics reported after the match, this was the seventh time in his career that he had completed such a hat-trick, excluding goals from penalties and free kicks.
At 41, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player continues to add to his impressive attacking record. His efficiency remains a major focus as he pursues an objective rarely approached on this scale in professional football.

15 goals short of the 1,000 mark
With 985 career goals, Cristiano Ronaldo is now just 15 goals away from the symbolic 1,000-goal milestone. Every new Al-Nassr match will now be closely followed by supporters eager to see the Portuguese reach that mark.
The day before, the player had already been honored after his 2007-08 season with Manchester United was named the best campaign in Ballon d’Or history as part of the B.O.A.T. vote organized by France Football. That season, he scored 42 goals in all competitions and won the Premier League and the Champions League.
The honor, decided by the public, does not constitute an official sixth Ballon d’Or. It nevertheless recognizes one of the most significant seasons of the Portuguese player’s career.
Between this honorary recognition and his hat-trick against Al-Kholood, Ronaldo experienced two particularly memorable days. His next challenge is now clearly defined: score 15 more goals to reach 1,000 career goals.
