Following an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his left knee sustained during the match against Lille on April 5, Ernest Nuamah underwent surgery this morning at the Jean-Mermoz private hospital in Lyon, under the supervision of Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet.

Starting the day after his surgery, Ernest Nuamah will begin his rehabilitation at the specialized center in Hauteville-Lompnes, in the Ain region. The estimated recovery time is between six and twelve months, depending on the progress of his rehabilitation. His 2024/2025 season with Olympique Lyonnais is officially over, having scored six (06) goals and provided two (02) assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

The Ghanaian winger's teammates showed their support during the first leg of the Europa League semi-final between OL and Manchester United, by holding up his jersey after the first goal of the match.
