Amine Gouiri, the Algerian striker for Olympique de Marseille, continues to etch his name into Ligue 1 history with another remarkable feat, after scoring a goal during the match against Lille on Sunday, May 5, at Lille's Decathlon Arena in France.
The clash between Lille and Marseille ended in a 1-1 draw. Gouiri broke the deadlock for OM in the 57th minute, capitalizing on a perfect assist from Adrien Rabiot.

According to data published by the account "Statsdufoot" on platform (X), Amine Gouiri has become the first player of the 21st century to be involved in 11 goals in his first 12 matches with Olympique de Marseille, thus surpassing the former record held by Ivorian legend Didier Drogba (10 goals).
Since his arrival at Marseille during the winter transfer window, Gouiri has contributed to 11 goals across all competitions, tallying 8 goals and 3 assists.
It's also worth noting that the 25-year-old was named man of the match against Lille and was selected by "L'Γquipe" in the best XI of Ligue 1's 32nd matchday.
