OM: The Marseille club tracking Ramy Bensebaïni
Ramy Bensebaïni

Olympique de Marseille is considering signing Ramy Bensebaïni during this summer transfer window. The Algerian centre-back, currently playing for Borussia Dortmund, is being targeted for his ability to operate as a left-back. Talks are reportedly already underway.

With several defenders expected to leave, OM is looking to bolster its backline this summer and is actively working the market. Among the club's main targets is Ramy Bensebaïni, according to local press reports. The 30-year-old Algerian, whose contract with Dortmund runs until 2026, presents an attractive opportunity for Marseille. His experience in the Bundesliga and the Champions League seems to fit the profile sought by Pablo Longoria. It's also worth noting that Bensebaïni, who played for Rennes from 2016 to 2019, already knows the French league well.

According to several sources, Olympique de Marseille has yet to make an offer to Borussia Dortmund for the Algerian defender. But the deal is far from over for OM. The German club sees Bensebaïni as a key member of the squad and does not seem motivated to let the Algerian leave. It's also worth mentioning that Napoli are interested in Ramy Bensebaïni, which only adds to the uncertainty surrounding his future.
