Foot Africa can confirm Portuguese midfielder Miguel Reisinho is currently on his way to South Africa ahead of completing a move to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sources have told this publication that the Betway Premiership champions have reached an agreement with the player on personal terms.

The 26-year-old will sign on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Portuguese outfit Boavista following their relegation last season.

During his stint with the club, he featured 85 times and scored nine goals with four assists provided since joining in 2019.

Reisinho has been roped in to bolster Downs’ midfield as he primarily operates as a central midfielder but can also turn out as a no.10 and an inverted winger.

He is expected to touchdown in the upcoming hours and will undergo a routine medical check before putting pen to paper on a two-year deal at Chloorkop.

The former Portugal under 20 international will join compatriot Nuno Santos, who has already been announced by Sundowns on Monday.

Masandawana are understood to have forked out € 1 million (R20 million) to lure the playmaker from Vitoria Guimaraes in the Liga Portugal.
