PSG: Désiré Doué defends himself against criticism

In recent days, Désiré Doué has been singled out for being too individualistic in his style of play. This Sunday, the French international spoke out in his own defense.

Speaking to Téléfoot, Désiré Doué had a message for his critics.

"I am certainly a talented player, but I also have a lot of ambition. Self-reflection is not just about the criticism I might read or hear—it's something I demand of myself every day, together with those around me. So it doesn't bother me at all. Honestly, some criticism helps you move forward as well. Not everything should be dismissed—there are some very useful critiques, and you have to use them to push yourself. That's part of football, honestly, especially when you play for Paris Saint-Germain in France. Nowadays, we know that as soon as your performance dips, the criticism comes thick and fast," said the PSG forward.
