Real Madrid: Kylian Mbappé has made a decisive call

According to information from the daily AS, Kylian Mbappé will travel to Manchester City next Tuesday for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.

According to the media outlet, it was the Frenchman himself who made the call—a decision that has been approved by Real Madrid. All signs point to him not starting against the Sky Blues, but the Bondy native is expected to come off the bench during the match.

Fully aware of the stakes in this round of 16 second leg, Mbappé has decided to be there. He’s feeling much better, and the work and treatments over the past three weeks are starting to pay off, with his pain and discomfort noticeably fading away. Any talk of surgery has also been brushed aside.

"We need him. When he comes back, we’ll need the players who scored in his absence to keep delivering. We have to keep playing the same way when he returns," said Álvaro Arbeloa after the win over Elche.
