Real Madrid want to secure Jude Bellingham’s long-term future. Having joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, the England international is now at the centre of new contract talks with the Spanish club.

Talks already underway

According to journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon, who works for Radio Marca, Real Madrid have already opened talks with Bellingham over a contract extension. The aim would be to extend his deal until the summer of 2032. The Spanish club are reportedly optimistic about reaching an agreement with the 23-year-old, whose current contract runs until 2029.

Real Madrid are also reportedly planning to improve the financial terms of their midfielder’s contract. If he extends his deal, Jude Bellingham could reach a salary level similar to that of Vinícius Júnior. The Brazilian currently earns around €25 million gross per year, which would place Bellingham among the highest-paid players in the Madrid dressing room.

Already a key player

Since joining from Borussia Dortmund, Bellingham has quickly established himself as one of Real Madrid’s most important players. The Spanish club paid €103 million, plus potential bonuses, to sign the midfielder.

In 145 competitive appearances for Los Blancos, the England international has already recorded 48 goals and 36 assists. At international level, he has also scored 13 goals in 56 appearances for England.
