The crisis at Manchester United is showing no signs of ending at the start of this season. It has reached the point where Erik ten Hag is predicting relegation to the Championship.

In the Premier League table, Manchester United sit in seventeenth place. The Red Devils are in a chaotic situation and remain there after another defeat to Chelsea (2-0). Just above the relegation zone, Manchester United will face AS Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday before an important clash with Aston Villa on Sunday.

Ten Hag already sees relegation

Formerly Manchester United's coach between 2022 and 2024, Erik ten Hag has not ruled out the possibility of the Red Devils being relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

“Is it possible that Manchester United could be relegated? In the Premier League, it is entirely possible, because all the teams are simply strong. They all have strong squads and good coaches. And if we end up on the wrong side once and really enter this vicious circle, then yes, it can become very, very difficult,” he explained to ESPN.
