Real Madrid still wants the 2024 Ballon d'Or
Real Madrid wants the Ballon d'Or this summer

Real Madrid has not given up on the 2024 Ballon d'Or. The Spanish club is reportedly preparing an offer for Rodri, Manchester City's midfield maestro, according to the Daily Star.

The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder, crowned the world's best player in 2024, is back in action after a serious knee injury cut his season short. He has already featured in four Premier League matches for Manchester City this season.

The Spanish giants are reportedly ready to offer £130 million to secure his signature. Manchester City want to keep him, but Real Madrid's interest could tempt Rodri, especially if Pep Guardiola were to leave. Rodri remains under contract with City until 2027, but the club is already considering long-term replacements, with Aleksandar Pavlović from Bayern Munich and even Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga among potential targets.
