Saudi Pro League issues firm response to Cristiano Ronaldo

The Saudi Pro League has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo's concerns regarding the management of the PIF fund and its impact on Al Nassr. The Portuguese star, who feels his club has been put at a disadvantage, is reported to have refused to participate in certain matches.

In light of this situation, the Saudi league has made its position clear. "No player, regardless of their fame, decides outside of their club," a SPL spokesperson told the BBC, while also commending Ronaldo's commitment since his arrival.

According to A Bola, this tension could pave the way for the Portuguese superstar's departure. Although under contract until 2027, Ronaldo reportedly has a release clause valued at €50 million.
