Semi Ajayi has officially joined Hull City this Thursday, June 19, 2025. Set to be a free agent on July 1, the Nigerian center-back leaves West Bromwich Albion after five seasons to sign with the Tigers until 2028.

This afternoon, Hull City announced the signing of Semi Ajayi. The 31-year-old Nigerian defender has signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. Despite physical setbacks that limited his playing time during the 2024/2025 campaign (15 Championship appearances), the Super Eagles defender has earned the trust of the Tigers.

"The club wants to reach the top of the Championship and that's exactly where I see myself. When I heard about this vision, I was eager to get involved in the project. I believe I can bring my expertise, experience, and leadership. I'm coming here with a strong determination to prove myself once again and to give my best as a Hull City player," said Semi Ajayi after signing his new contract.
