After a standout season in France's Ligue 2, Christ-Owen Kouassi is leaving Stade Lavallois to join Lecce in Serie A this Sunday, June 29, 2025. The Ivorian-born centre-back has signed a four-year contract after just one season.

The breakout star of Stade Lavallois during the 2024/25 campaign is heading to Italy. The talented young defender impressed in his 33 Ligue 2 appearances, tallying 2 goals and 1 assist. His performances were convincing enough to earn him a new challenge in a different league.

"Lecce announces the arrival of Christ-Owen Kouassi. The Franco-Ivorian defender leaves Laval to sign in Serie A on a four-year contract, with an additional option," reads the official statement from the Italian club.
