Transfer market: Mohamed Salah to FC Barcelona, the wild rumor!

As the 2024/2025 season enters its final stretch, the future of Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah remains unclear. The captain of the Pharaohs, out of contract with Liverpool next June, is attracting a lot of interest.

While Saudi Arabia is offering him a staggering contract of 50 million euros per season via Al-Hilal, the two-time African Ballon d'Or winner has yet to decide on his future.

The newspaper Sport drops a bombshell!

In this context, FC Barcelona resurfaces among the potential destinations. According to the newspaper Sport, informal talks have taken place in recent weeks, but no concrete agreement has been reached.

While the idea of a transfer to Catalonia excites some fans, the feasibility of the operation remains highly uncertain.

A major financial challenge

Barça, in search of offensive reinforcements, sees Salah as the ideal profile to form a formidable attack, but the financial aspect complicates the matter.

With a current salary estimated at 17 million euros gross per year, the 32-year-old Egyptian international would need to accept a significant pay cut to hope to join La Liga.

Meanwhile, Liverpool does not intend to give in easily and hopes to extend its iconic striker. Saudi Arabia, always lurking, could also prove convincing.

Mohamed Salah will therefore have to choose between one last major European challenge and a lucrative contract in the Middle East.
