Transfer market: Yassine Benzia on his way to Saudi Arabia!

Yassine Benzia is about to open a new chapter in his career. Having joined Qarabag FK in January 2023, the Algerian international is not expected to extend his stay with the Azerbaijani club.

According to several local sources, Benzia (14 caps, 4 goals) has turned down renewal offers, and his departure seems inevitable upon the expiration of his contract next June.

The 30-year-old forward has nevertheless shone with the Cavaliers, scoring 25 goals and providing as many assists in 97 appearances. His outstanding performances even led to his return to the Algerian national team in March 2024, after a long absence.

Now, Benzia is eyeing a move to the Saudi Pro League, where several clubs have already made him attractive offers.

The former Lyon, Lille, Fenerbahçe, and Olympiakos player is reportedly tempted by a lucrative contract, accompanied by an appealing signing bonus. According to DZfoot, his national teammates, already settled in Saudi Arabia — Mahrez, Aouar, or Benrahma — have convinced him to take the plunge.

With two championship titles (2023, 2024) and a cup victory, Benzia would leave Qarabag with an impressive record... and undoubtedly new ambitions.
