According to Italian sources, AS Roma has expressed a strong interest in Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié, currently playing for Al Ahly in Saudi Arabia, as part of the summer transfer window.

Gianluca Di Marzio clarified in a post on the X platform that everything will depend on whether Kessié can terminate his contract, especially given his high wages:

"Franck Kessié is an experienced player, well known to Massara and Gasperini. We need to wait to see under what conditions he will be able to end his current contract."

The Roman club faces a financial challenge due to Kessié's salary, pushing them to look for creative solutions to get the deal over the line.

It's worth remembering that Gian Piero Gasperini, the new "Wolves" manager, previously coached Kessié at Atalanta and played a key role in his development—a factor that could make the player's arrival in Rome more likely.
