U17 World Cup: Algeria learns its opponents!

Algeria U17 now knows its opponents for the 2026 U17 World Cup in Qatar following the official draw conducted by FIFA.

The Algeria U17 team has discovered its group for the 2026 U17 World Cup, set to take place in Qatar this November. Having secured qualification after an impressive run at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the young Fennecs have landed in a particularly intriguing group for their big return to the global stage.

Amine Ghimouz’s squad will compete in Group J, facing off against the USA U17, Montenegro U17, and Chile U17 in the opening round.

Group J:

1 - Algeria U17
2 - USA U17
3 - Montenegro U17
4 - Chile U17

This qualification is especially significant as it marks Algeria U17's return to the World Cup after a 17-year absence. The last appearance for the young Greens dates back to the 2009 edition.
