The match kicked off at a blistering pace, with Arda Güler opening the scoring in a flash after a Manuel Neuer error. Pavlovic quickly equalized from a corner, before Güler restored Madrid's lead with a free kick, thanks to another mishap by the German keeper. Harry Kane brought the teams level again, but just before the break, Vinícius set up Mbappé for the 3-2.
